Family Histories

Portrait of a Sailor – This 150 page book was created for a family to commemorate their father’s service during WW2. Joe Byway served in the Canadian Navy and was a D-Day veteran. He documented his experiences in an illustrated diary and had collected a large amount of printed memorabilia and photographs. I carefully scanned and digitized the material and designed the book to showcase this precious archive. Once the book was completed, family members travelled to the Juno Beach Centre in France and presented a copy of the book for their archives.

The Bicum and Barg Family History – This 32 page book covers the merging of two families over several generations. Archival material was scanned and retouched and then printed in a hardcover book format. To view the entire book click here
